I have a Customer who has a Legend R7.0. They are complaining about a delay when you press the SA buttons on any mlx phone. The problem as well is on the DSS buttons on the DLC consols. They have all 17 slots filled with various cards. The power supplies on the first and third carrier are the "new style" for the Legend. The power supply in the second carrier is the older style that you got with the R3.0 legend. I don't have part numbers. Anybody else run into this problem????

Have they tried a proper power down & up? Are there any errors for any of the boards? Has it ever worked correctly?

it has been powered down and back up a few times upgrading cards. It did work properly before we started adding 016 mlx cards. As well, the have almost all mlx-28D phones.

The power supply in the second carrier may be the problem. The 016 cards take a bigger supply. If you do not have a 391C1 power supply on the 016 cards, OR if you've overloaded your power supply using 016 cards, that may be the culprit. Each module of the Legend / Magix is rated with a certain unit load, the 391C1 will handle 96, the 391A3 75, and the 391A1, 54. Each 016 card eats up 27, so even a 391C1 would only handle 3 016 MLX cards.

Here is a listing of the unit loads by module,
(hope it comes out readable!)

008 MLX 13.5 400 E&M 8.0
008 OPT 8.0 408 GS/LS-ID-MLX 13.5
016 ETR 24 412 LS-ID-TDL 13.0
016 T/R 12.8 800 GS/LS-ID 0.0
016 MLX 27 800 DID 8.0
024 TDL 24 800 NI-BRI 0.0
100D/100DCD 0.0 Processor 0.0
100R INA 0.0 MERLIN Messaging 0.0

Get out you calculator and add them up, and if you don't know which power supply you have, and don't want to rip it out of the carrier to find out, then this should help:

391A1 & 319A2 pwr switch toggles up/down; gray jack
391A3 pwr switch toggles up/down; no gray jack
391C1 pwr switch toggles left/right; no gray jack

I think that is the problem...I will let you all know how it works out.
