delay in message delivery

Messages sometimes don't "show up" in a users voicemail box until 24 hours after they were left. For instance, six messages left for extension 2311 on Tuesday morning did not get "delivered" until Wednesday morning. It seems to happen to random users every once in a while but not system wide. I am not even sure what the best solution is.

Nec 2000IPS and Neax 64 Voice Mail.

Thanks in advance.

Are you using MCI integration?

If you are not using MCI, and instead you are using a dial port to turn on lamps, that may be your problem.

If the system is "busy", dialing out to turn on and off lamps is a lower priority over answering voicemails.

Are you having a problem with "stuck" lamps? This would also indicate the same problem.

MCI works immediately; dial ports may have a delay.

Just my 2¢

I really couldn't say how it is set up. How can I tell? I have only had one issue in two and a half years of a stuck lamp.
THanks

I know sometimes this issue occurs for us, but what is really happeneing if the system time on the voicemail system has actually lost a day somewhere, so the message is actually being delivered correctly, its just the time on the system is off.
