Customer has a Norstar Voicemail with a 4.0 software. They're complaining that they're not receiving the voicemail messages on time. Sometimes, there's an hour or more before they can receive the messages.

Need help on how to fix this problem...thanks in advance.

Well, it can be a number of things. I would reset the NAM. It's a computer and needs to be rebooted every once in awhile.
Then I would look at how many channels I have designated for outdialing. Feature 983- log in- dial 5. I usually set it for half of the total number of channels.

Re-booting seems to be the only option that Nortel gives. Two of our Nams (both 4.04c and 4.04E) give late notification and not just notification the message is not physically sent. It seems the larger system (124 sets) does it more often.
We've been upgraded (from C to E)and tested out the wazoo, but late messaging always comes back. Rebooting does not make the problem disappear, it comes back. I wonder if it goes away at all or it just takes the users a while to notice it is still happening.
Funny that this does not seem to be a problem on our 6 Startalks which are Nortel computers as well.
