Hi,

I want to run a status report everyday, to the status of each task, I can't find any field to show how many days the task is delayed even it is not finished. The situation is as the following :

baseline start day baseline finish day
Task AA - Day01 Day04
Task BB - Day02 Day08
Task CC - Day01 Day02
Task DD - Day01 Day07

If every task is started at the right time. Today is Day06
Task AA - still not finished
Task BB - working
Task CC - finished
Task DD - finished earlier than planned

I want to indicate the status as the following to warn the project team members of the delay task :
Task AA - "2 days" (it will be great if it can change to red color with BOLD)
Task BB - "-" or "working" or nothing
Task CC - "-" or "finished"
Task DD - "-1 day" (it will be great if it can change to blue color with BOLD)

Any suggestion ?

Dear all,

I've suddenly studied more about formula of custom field.
I guess I got a work around by creating a 2 fields :

Duration1 : ProjDurConv(ProjDateDiff([Current Date]+1.[Baseline Finish]), pjDays) <--- this is for calculation for the Ms Project engine

Text09 : IIf([% Complete]<>100, [Duration1]/480,"") <--- for displaying, only display unfinished tasks

If you have any advise to improve it, please suggest me. Thanks.

by the way, I am really want to complain why MS Project cannot set auto font-formating base on value / date .... etc.
and also can't change the color of the cell.

Thanks.

Benson
