Running Backup Exec v8.5 on Windows NT 4 (SP6)
Recently I noticed an increase in the time taken for our backup to complete. Upon closer inspection of the logs I noticed that the time in between backup sets has increased from around 1 minute to nearly 4 minutes. The net result is that the backup is taking 1 hour longer to complete. The throughput during each backup set is fine (as high as 307Mb/s) so I don't think there is a performance issue and the delay happens regardless of local or remote backup.
