Delay after TA attached to Sync/Async port ends connection!

I have a number of TAs connected to Sync/Async ports, running in async mode.

I have set up the dialer fast-idle timer so that when another site is requested on a particular TA the line is brought down within a few seconds. I have also reduced the re-enable timer so that DDR on that port looks like it is ready to go within approx 6 seconds.

However, the port does not seem to except any DDR for approx. 20/30 seconds. I have debugged for a while and cannot work out why there is this delay!
