Delay AA greeting to allow rings before AA answers?

816 and TVS50 work well--The AA answers appropriately and the customized prompts all do their job well. BUT

1) The client hates the 2-3 second pauses in the sequence of AA prompts that comprise the AA greeting; I don't believe there is a fix for this. Right?
2) The client wants the system to ring (at all phones) for, say, 3-4 rings, before AA picks up. Any way?

On other systems, there is a setting for AA line rings and lines may even have independent ring settings.

What am I missing on this 816/TVS setup?

I'll bet you dont have caller ID and in tvs utility you need to set wcid timer to > wcid=0 (I think the default is wcid=1 or 2)
you need to set up trunk group intercept routing
to ext 165 and set your intercept timer for 4 rings I think the default is 12
 
also if you shut off prompts intstead of recording over them It could be a problem what I do is rerecord
wecome to the voice processing system... to you have reached
the abc company.... and I have the customer rerecord
goodmorning,goodafternoon & goodeve... in there own voice
and then I have them record Custom menu 1 and I find that it all knits together beter than sutting the prompts off
and of course I change transfer sequence to FXD.
 
There is also a setting you can change in the utility menu. It alters the time between the end of playing custom service menu, and next step in process, whether it be transfer, take msg etc...You have to enable the extended commands by typing kme. then type svitto and a timer setting...can't remember it exactly I'll look around and play with one later today
