Deinstalling Office97 + Office200 on computer

Hi,

I have a system who had office97 installed and portions of office2000 installed. I'm having issues with outlook and need to cleanly remove office97/office2000 from this system and reinstall offic2000. I know that just using the add/remove programs will remove the program but i'm concerned about traces of program in registry. Is there a method of removing this from the registry? Is there any registry cleanup utility that could help me do this task when I uninstall both office97 and office2000?
