degub 800 series ddr 2 internet

Hi,

i have an 800 series router
i have configured it for nat inside on int eth0
and nat outside on dialer1 (the internet)
i have debug ppp auth on and i can see chap auth working
but i cannot get a response to a ping (from the console). any ideas as to what
may be happening, or any debug commands i can use to find out
