I am having an issue...I have a G3csi connnected to an Intuity via TCP/IP. It goes Clan-3550 Cisco- 4006 Cisco- 3550 Cisco- Intuity. What is happening, periodically, when the link goes down? All vmail and Attds go OOS. We diagnosed that if we run a large script file or ftp, the data network is being fully used, the link goes down? What are the specific requirements for the port programming of the 3550's? I know they are to be 10meg 1/2 duplex and change this in the audix, which is done. Why do you think this is happening when the data network is jamming?

Thanks,

For the audix i'd set it to auto, and then the switch to auto to see if that helps.. they have intel 100pro cards in them and should work okay.

Depending on your clan, if its a 799dp you can run 100/full with it, if its a 799c, you can only do 10/half

From our experience , we found that TN799c works better than TN799dP which is 100mb. We had outages when we were using TN799DP on VLAN environment. But when replaced with tn799c , it worked fine!!!

Thanks guys....

However, Does any changes need done on the data switch side other than auto?

It seems funny that the link goes down at least once a week and we found that this is when large data is being transferred across our network. What I don't understand is that we have 3550 which are tied to a 4000 series Cisco via fiber? We should never have any issues, what do you think?

Thanks again.
