Hi, everybody.

We have system Definity SI (release 9.2) that shutdowns from time to time without explanation. There is no pattern to it. We changed power supply and it worked fine for three months but then it started happening again.
System just goes down while the power switch is still on, and the power is still connected (We checked power and changed couple of UPSs).
There are no alarms on system.
Has anyone any idea?
Is it connected with the cabinet somehow?
Could this be a software bug? Or maybe processor issue?

Thanks

slovic,

firstly issue an "disp initcauses" command and see how these shutdowns were performed. if there's nothing criminal, contact avaya. i suspect there's some hardware problem.

You can also issue the "test enviroment long" command to see if any of the power supplies have faults.

Did you get this resolved?

We tried with "disp initcauses", but nothing there that could help... With "test enviroment long" same thing, appears ok, no indications...
We will try with replacing Si cabinet, processor board...

Hi orypecos,

You are wright! Filters were clogged...

Thanks to everyone...

The filters are bought from Antronix
336-272-0878
Our contact person is Jeff Anderson
PN. UAF-217 our price is $9.77 each. (For large cabinets)
P.N. UAF-241 our price is $10.60 (For SCC cabinet in W&C building.)

This is who we use for our filters. The PN above are for the G3R cabinets. Give them your dimensions for the G3I and they can send you out some. The book says to replace these at least once a year, but I replace ours every 6 months as part of our maintenance routine.
