I have a Definity Generic 3 Version 4 system. I have 10 Trunk lines hard wired to the Junction Box and the signals are good to the Auto dial MCCF cabinet. There has been 4 trunk-groups already programed to work but I need to add another outside line which means I need to program an additional trunk line by using the command ADD trunk-group. When I do this, a new Trunk Group 5 is created but I am unable to call out on the phone line. What are the procedures for setting up a new Trunk-group and establishing communications with the outside line via the PBX.

Are you adding a trunk to the existing 4 trunk groups or are you add a new trunk group with one trunk in it? If you are adding a new trunk to an existing group , then use the chng trunk command and add the new trunk to the next available port. If you are adding a new trunk group then it will be a duplicate of the existing one and just add the parameteres and the new port assignments.

I want to enable the new 866 toll free area code for all my users. It seems only users with COR 5 have access, all others get warning tone after about 7 digits. How can I change this?
