New to the Forum scene, any hints or suggestins would be greatly appreciated. I have a Definity G3 rel 3 at two locations. I need to re-direct the night service, after hours, at one location to the other location, so it needs to go to an outside number. Any suggestions? I do not want to pay Avaya $145 for 30 minutes work or $290/hour to do this unless I just have to.

Thanks!

Some more information could be helpful.
Are the switches connected with DCS trunks?

Do you have vectoring?

I have been over the phone system for a couple years. I do not have any training on the system or knowledge of how it was setup 13 years ago. I mostly add/remove or make changes to changes. I have some knowledge of some of the system commands. Unfortunately, I do not have an answer for the above question, is there somewhere in the switch I can find this info?

Thanks,

The switches are not connected with DCS trunks. What exactly is vectoring?

We need to find exactly where these night service calls are coming from in order to move them to another location.

Are these calls going to a console and they hit a night serivce button?? Are they coming in to a hunt group and using the hunt group night service button?? Are they just call forwarding these calls at night using a call fowarding button to an answering service??

If you can find out which one of these your users are doing, we can help you redirect those calls.

Look under "ch con" . This is the console-parameters form. On it is the night service activation extension. This is the only place I have found anything for that. Let me know if that is whee you need to be.

I will look around a little more for you as time permits.

Night service destinations can be found under the Listed directory number field, The trunk group, and in some cases under the tenant listing (if applicable)depending on how your switch is provisioned and what release you are running. Redirecting them may be done with vectoring (best) or sending to a hunt group (with no members) with a remote coverage destination for offsite destinations. If it is over a PRI trunk it can be a bit trickey, and may require alternative treatment.

Thanks to for your help with this matter. It has been resolved!
