Does anyone have a doc with detailed descriptions of
the a,b,c,and d protocols used on the ch ds1 form when set for ISDN-PRI?
Would be most appreciated

From the Admin guide:

1-a United States, Canada AT&T TR 41449/ 41459 (tested with AT&T network, Canadian network, and MCI network)
Service
1-b United States Bellcore TR 1268; NIUF.302; ANSI T1.607
Restart
1-c United States NORTEL DMS-250 BCS36/IEC01 Service
1-d United States Telcordia SR-4287 Service

"a" is commonly referred to as AT&T and "b" is commonly referred to as NI-2 or National ISDN

Nice job TivoNut. I saved that myself for future reference.

Have a star..

NI-2 or "B" gives your Definity the abality to recieve caller id with name and number if avaiable from outside callers. Just had verizon reprovision one of my PRI's to NI-2.

If you are ordering a PRI, go with the B or NI-2

Great job TivoNut-
Any idea what you would use for NI-1?
In what manual did you find this?
Thanks again.

It's in the "Administration Guide for Avaya Communication Manager", under Screen Reference, DS1 Circuit Pack.

I'd try "b" for NI-1.
