I have a Definity G3i R009 that has copper DIDs. I want to add a T1 and have some or all the DIDs come in over the T1. The DIDs are in a couple of blocks.
I think that i can do this with a tn747e card and a Paradyne 3160 dsu/csu with the proper cabling.
I also think that the T1 would have to be channelized.

Definity is such an old release that it is not possible to set any of the protocals that are needed for a PRI.

Is it possible to have the DIDs to come in over something other than a Copper DID trunk.

If so, then would the trunk type be treated like a did or tie trunk. I assume it would be like a did. Any help on this programming would be appreciated.

where did you get that information from?

at any rate, you can have your DIDs pointed to an ISDN-PRI.

tn767E, tn464F with 120a integrated csu would work fine for T1, isdn or not. You would only need csu / dsu to break out some channels for data that will not go to the switch. If all 24 channels terminate on the switch, you don't need a 3160.

ISDN with DID service has been around for many years and supported on Definity g3v4 from the early 1990's.

Getting the RTU turned on in customer-options may be your issue. Avaya and some business partners may be able to get this activated in your switch for you.
