Hi,

I'm am having problems with an Audix voicemail system connected to a definty switch. I have created a new mailbox for an extension which didn't previously have a mailbox. I have put the extension number in the same coverage path as the other extension which have voicemail. The problem i have is that when you call the extension it transfers to voicemail but says it doesnt reconise the extension number and asks to enter the mailbox number. If you enter mailbox number it then plays the greating. It seems the extension is not carrying the extension number to the voicemail therefore not sending it to the correct mailbox. I seem to remember having to run audit mailboxes and audit names but i have done this and the mailbox still isn't working correctly. Any halp would be much appreciated.

I would try removing and rebuilding the extension. .

Good luck

Probably something in the station config. Either Audix name or LWC reception on page 2 of the station form. Check a working station and use those values.

Definity Audix will not recognize a new extension until you run an audit, or the nightly system audit is run under maintenance. Under the last premis, the station mailbox will work the next day.
If, as you said, you ran an audit, did it complete sucessfully? Check the admin history log to see if there are any reported issues.
Also, most Definity Audix's run under Mode-Code integration which means you must match the names on the vm and station (last name, first name) because the audix does an inspect function of the display. (this may or maynot apply to your installation).
These Audix's can be a pain in the keester!

Thanks phonesrus, I have tried renameing the station and subsriber and they are both the same. I have run the nightly audix again and the mailboxes, names, switch names and im still having the same problem. When i run the Audits they all pass succesfully.

Any other ideas??

Remove the subscriber mailbox, run the audit again, reenter the subscriber mailbox, rerun audit. If this doesnt cure the issue, do a soft shutdown on the audix, when the m-shut (on LED screen) has stopped blinking and is lit solid, unseat the audix board. Wait 15-20 seconds and reseat the board, this will start a cold boot.
If all of the above does not resolve the issue, then you may have a licensing issue, or a possible software corruption.
What release Audix are you running, some of the 3.x's are known for issues like this.
