I've searched all over and cannot for the life of me figure out exactly what I need here. Any help is appreciated.

I have Crystal Reports 10 Professional (on my pc), and Crystal Enterprise 10 Express (on my server).

I have reports that have parameter prompts in them for things such as date ranges, etc. and when I view these reports through crystal enterprise, the user is correctly prompted to enter these parameters when the report is run.

Now, since my version of enterprise express is only for 5 users and I have more than that, I'm simply trying to serve up the reports through classic ASP on my server, not through Enterprise. This works, but the ActiveX report viewer will not prompt the user for the report parameters.

How can I, or is it possible, just use ASP to prompt the users for these report parameters? *Without a spearate parameters page, just using the report viewer. Or is this interactivity only achievable through Enterprise?

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Sorry about the multiple postings synapsevampire.

I'm looking at the SimpleParameterFields.zip examples, and it looks like I have to define and set the parameters in my ASP code, as well as in my report. This seems unecessarily tedious, especially since I'm already setting up the parameter fields in my report.

I'm assuming there's no way to have this done automatically or generically once instead of setting up each parameter?

I guess that's what Crystal Enterprise is for? Enterprise will serve these report parameters to the user automatically, but if you want to use straight ASP, then I need to do these things myself?

I have Crystal Enterprise, but only for 5 users, and it's too expensive to buy more licenses, so I guess I'm stuck?

Thanks again for the replies!
