When configuring an APC Smart UPS network card, there is an option called 'Low Battery Duration' where a time in minutes can be set between 2 and 20.
This is the time limit from the low battery signal until shutdown.
Have I understood correctly, that the lower one sets this, the quicker the shutdown will follow once this situation has been reached, however, a lower setting will increase the amount of 'on battery' time available.
Basically one is 'choosing' whether to use battery power as 'LOW BATTERY TIME' or as 'AVAILABLE RUNTIME'.
Have I got that correct?
