Hi,

Is it possible to define the layout of the source file dynamically?

Let's say I get a file everyday which contains the column names, descriptions and data types of another file which has the actual source data. Because the layout of this source file changes everyday, I cannot define this source in the Source Analyzer before hand. How can I use this source file in a mapping?

Thanks.

Well, let's approach this from a different angle.
If your source file can take different 'shapes' how do expect to create a mapping that takes account of these changes?
Do you expect that transformation objects will automatically adjust to a different source-structure? :)

Adjusting to source-layout (if at all possible) is just part of the ballgame...

In this case it's a bunch of reference tables that need to be populated on daily basis. These are simple pass through mappings with no transformations required. If we could create a sort of 'template' mapping which could work with any of these sources, we would not have to create a separate flow for each source and target individually.
