I am trying to define a constact factor field in a table, let's say:

Field Size: Long Integer
Decimal Places: 4
Input Mask: 9.9999
Default value: "8.3536"

When I build a query, and choose that field from the table, I do not see the constant value as 8.3536, but only 8.0000.

What happened to the default value of 8.3536 ?

A long integer is "whole numbers only". If you want a fractional part then use single, double or currency.
