Defining an Impromptu using ODBC File DSN?

I have set up a File DSN for a .csv file I want to read
in an Impromptu report. However, I'm unable to define a
database using this file as it doesn't appear on the ODBC Data Source list (only User and System DSN's).

Can Impromptu access File DSN's or not? If so, what am I missing?

Thanks in advance.

I do not think Impromptu can handle CSV file. Instead you may want to save the CSV to Dbase. Then try your ODBC connection. Good luck. Sorry I do not have access to Impromptu Admin to verify what kind of data sources are supported.

CSV is absolutely supported. Once your ODBC is created, you need to create a database connection in Impromptu. Point it to the ODBC connection you've just created and you'll be able to access the CSV file.

Yes, CSV is supported and I have it working with a "System" DSN in ODBC.

My problem is with the "User" DSN which does not on the list of available ODBC connections on Impromptu's Database Definition panels.
