I want to define a style based on the Bullet style. However, I want to have checks rather than bullets. Does anyone know how to define the type of symbol in a list for my style?

I am not sure you can create a style that includes bullets. I think they have to be applied after the text is written, although of course you can apply the appropriate indents etc in the style. But since bullets are a 'plug-in' I don't think it is possible. I assume you understand how to make the bullets a check mark? Go to Utilities>>Plug-ins and click the Edit button. This will allow you to select whatever font possesses a check mark (there's one in Wingdings) and you can also specify the size font to use.

Thank you. Thank you for the insight on using the checkmarks. I am saddened that I cannot save a style with the bullets/checkmarks already set up.
