Defective media in deck (626) error occurred.
After ejecting DAT tape and then inserting the same DAT tape in deck error disappeared.
Does anyone know what happen?

normally when the deck needs a clean but mainly because it's made by NICE!!!

That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

We have major problems with Dat tapes, it is essential that the drives are cleaned everytime you remove a tape to reduce the number of problems.

Shutting down a logger without ejecting the tape first seems to be a common cause of problems too but it wasn't me that did it ... honest.

shutting down the logger incorrectly will result in the index file not being written, so the next time the tape is inserted it will go into "recovering" mode and build an index file from the calls it finds on the tape.
