Defaulting a BCM? 1

Does anyone know how to default a BCM? Client inherited a model 1000 from a previous business, but does not know passwords, IP address, nada.

I'm able to access the programming menu through a set using the default login/password, but cannot get in to the voice mail or the system with a lapton & crossover cable. Everything has been changed apparently.

I think it's best to default the whole darn thing and start over.

VM reset is done the same way as in a Norstar using feature 985 9 resetsmpswd ...

use the serial port to find the ip address of the lan ports

Careful in defaulting. you may lose keycodes. BCM voicemail is by default zero mail boxes. You may want to post this on the BCM forum.
