How can I default a BCM 400 (3.7 & 4.0) to factory default, without losing the keycodes and without logging into EM? I need this info since we are locked out of multiple BCM's and dont want to rely on Nortel.

Also, I read a post that said Nortel could not help with password resets below version 4.0, is that true?

I don't know of a way to default a machine under 4.0 without knowing the user name and password. I have also been told even Nortel can't get into the machines, which i find very hard to believe. We have taken the drive out and loaded it in another PC and searched the log files to try and retreive the file that contains the user/pw to no avail. We found the file containing the user names but the password field contained the term LONG BIANRY DATA.

I know this isn't much help, but it's what i know..

3.X would require a new HD installed in order to access if all usernames and passwords are lost.
