default websie does not work , all others do

Dear folks

I have IIS 5 with Windows 2K server running 100 websites
all other websites working fine, but default website (which has control panel pages configured) cannot be accessed. its running in isolated memory, it doesn't even show html pages.

Have you added any header to the site or just left it blank with the IP address and port 80?

No i did not add any header

the port is 8443, this is actually a website for administrators, for managing the other websites
