default wallpaper 2

I'm setting up a 2k3 server with Citrix and I want to set a specific wallpaper for all my users.
I know I can probably login as a test user and change the wallpaper and save it as the "default user"...BUT...what about users that already have a roaming profile already configured. Those changes will not apply to them since they already have an established profile.
I need to find out if there is a registry entry or a setting within a 2000 GPO to change this.
any info would be appreciated!

Hi,

The registry entry is:-

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
Wallpaper REG_SZ "?:\???\???.BMP"

Set yours up, export this key with regedit, remove the rubbish, then you can deploy it to EVERYONE from within usrlogon.cmd

REGEDIT /S ?:\???\???.Reg

Alter the "?" accordingly!

You can also set this via group Policy:

Group Policy -> User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Desktop -> Active Desktop -> Active Desktop Wallpaper

I would however discourage the use of wallpaper in a Terminal Server or Citrix Environment as the performance is impacted, especially over WAN connections and/or when the wallpaper is a complex bitmap.

I would like to say that by adding a backround image instead of using "none" for a published desktop will increase bandwidth and slow screen redraws, if it is a highly defined image. Sometimes backrounds are cool to have but can cause the users to get frustrated. If you don't have any WAN connections then there won't be a problem.
Just wanted to throw in my 2 cents if it counts,
