Is there a way to have a combobox initially read "Select ..." instead of the first record?

I am using a dataset to fill my combobox.

Thanks

henslecd,

The only thing that I can think of is that once you have filled the combobox you can then set the text property to anything that you want it to be. This should not affect anything that is added in.

If you could though post your code that your are using. There maybe something within your code that you missed that is causing the first item to be selected.

Hope this helps,

Brian

I new I read about this the other day so I did a keyword search and couldn't find it. Of course, right when I gave up, I found it.

The line above works, but you must include it AFTER the databind().

Cool. Thanks, that's easier than merging two datatables.
