I have recently done some work on my DC's which has turned out to be rather messy. I replaced my old file server and DC with a new box. I promoted the new server to a be a DC it does not have the domain in its name e.g. instead of server.domain I have server. Everything seems to be running ok apart from AD replication. I am getting the following error when I run netdiag

[WARNING] The default SPN registration for 'HOST/NT_ERVER' is missing on DC 'NT_SERVER'

Dcdiag and all other netdiag tests are ok on all my DC's. Any ideas on how to fix this or even what it means. Not sure if this is causing the replication error. I must point out that inorder to keep shares working I had to use the same server name for the old and new server. I'm wondering if some of the old server.domain info is floating around or if the dcprom hasn't workd properly.

Thanks in advance.
