Default snapshot location for new VMs / existing VMs

I'm familiar with how to move my snapshot location on working VM's with a combination of the
snapshot.redoNotWithParent = "true"
and
workingdir = "<guid of desired snapshot location>"

However, is there a way to set these as default?

I'd like to point all of my VMs in a cluster to the new workingdir, as well as default these two settings for all new VMs that are built on the cluster.

Is there a setting somewhere to say "These are the defaults I want set for new .vmx files"?

That is what I'm currently doing... however, I want it to be able to default to those settings for newly created VM's.

There must be a template or something for new VMX files...
