I have created several reports where i need legal sized & landscape orientation reports to print. No matter what i do, the reports automatically contain the default values (report & portrait) each time they are opened.

What is the simplest way of fixing this?

If you open a report in Design View, change the printer settings on the Page Setup dialog, and then save the report, it is supposed to save the orientation and paper size. Have you done that?

Are you opening the reports on a different machine from the one you saved the design on, in particular on a machine that lacks that printer name specified in design mode, or that is using a different printer driver version?

Thanks for the star. I hope my suggestion solved your problem, but if not, see thread703-582400 for another idea.

On Microsoft Knowledge base, it gives a module that will reset the page size to legal. The link is below

This works great and have been using it for months. The problem I am having now is my users are now using a .mde file instead of .mdb. With the .mde file you are not able to go into the design view of a report so the module does not work.

Does anyone know how to get around that problem?
