In the setup with two ospf default routes described in NIL's site ( as "THE OSPF DEFAULT MYSTERIES", is there a way to have one type of traffic going exactly to one of the gateways, regardless of metrics involved in default route selection? For example, traffic from LAN segment 192.168.10.0/24 alwayes to go to GW1 and never to GW2.

Thank You all in advance.

use a route-map

create an access list and define permit on 192.168.10.0
in route-map match the class,
and then set the output interface to the one you want
then apply set route-map

We must go always forward, not backward
always up, not down and always twirling twirling towards infinity.

Route maps here are not welcomed solution in terms of mainteinace. Lots of adminstrators, anyone could easily erase access list that point to traffic that needs a special route.Network is very complex and lots of route maps on lots of places would have to be set.

On the other hand, because we have MPLS with BGP, maybe it is better to go for another vrf with exactly the same routes from base routing table (redistribute ospf 1 through bgp and "hard code" static route towards GW1 or GW2.
