default route won't stay set perm!

using smit tcpip and adding a static route of destination network 0, gateway 10.1.51.1, netmask 255.255.255.0 seems to work to set the default route for my en1 interface..

however everytime i reboot it seems to get wiped out. How do you permenantly set the default route on AIX?

nevermind figured it out..

smitty route -> flush tables
smitty tcpip -> minimum config and startup
test
reboot
test


works
