Hi all.......I have this issue. When I want to set the default iproute it displays this error.

Code:
SoftSW.14 # conf iproute add default 192.168.120.30
ERROR: Gateway is not on directly attached subnet

On any other summit, like 48si, the command works fine. I dont know if this sw has anything pre-configured by default that doesn't let me set this static route. I have everything else configured already but this.

Thanx in advance for your help, nice forum though.

Yuo might need this

This message indicates that you did not have a VLAN configured with and IP address in the 192.168.120.x address space.

In order to define a default route, you must first have a VLAN interface on the Extreme Layer 3 switch that can actually reach the default next hop IP address.

The resolution would be to define a VLAN with and IP address on the 192.168.120.x and enable ipforwarding as well. Hope this helps.
