Hey all,
We have ISDN and LAN OL2000 (SR1) E2K users. The ISDN users tend to work offline then use the Syncronize option to update when they need to.
Recently I discovered the default public folder stores configured in the properties of their mailbox stores were actually pointing to the public folder of another E2K server located across a slow link. This was causing a problem so I changed the default public folder settings to point at the public folder store on the same server as the mailbox stores. This sorted my initial problem.
Now however ISDN users are not able to Syncronize. They get the error "Errors in background syncronization. In most cases further information is available in an errors syncronization log in the Deleted Items folder. The Microsoft Exchange Server computer is not available. Either there are network problems or the Microsoft Exchange Server computer is down for maintainance."
They can ping the E2K servers IP address and name. If they log on with normal network access it also works fine. My users are telling me no error logs have been created. Has anyone got any idea what the problem could be?
