Default profile for LAN users XP Pro

Does anyone have any valid instructions on how to make a default profile for LAN users on Win XP Pro - ie. Network printer is all ready installed when they log on, or they have no problems with certain software administrator issues(eg. Macromedia Firweworks 4.0).
I don't want to create a batch file, but I heard there are ways this can be done without making 300 users a local profile on each desktop. Possibly in Regedit?? Not sure...
Does anyone have any ideas/simple instructions???
