Does anyone know of a way to trick NT into thinking it has a local printer.
 
I think if you just use the printer wizard & install drivers for the 'printer' you want, that will work - you can also select (tickbox) file as where you want printer to output to (then it will produce a 'printfile' if you use this printer), if that's helpful.
 
You can also use the net use command to map a network printer to (say) the LPT port.

I think that works... [auto] MCSE NT4/W2K
