Default printer disappears after logon

Whenever one of our users signs onto one of our Metaframe XP servers it clears her default laser printer and replaces it with a generic client printer that isn't attached. Any ideas?

Make sure the content of the wfcname.ini in the root of the clientos, matches the hostname of the machine. (this often goes wrong on cloned workstations)
The content must have a unique name at all time, to ensure problemfree printercreation.

We have some users that have attached client printers to their terminals should we just leave theirs set to connect client printers and uncheck everyone elses?

that depends on how your users see the printers that are not attached to there pc

We have a thin client evironment on Wyse 3360SE winterms.
