Default Password

I have a switch that we pulled out of service a couple of years ago. We have changed all our admin passwords and had personal turnover and no one knows the password to the switch. Does anyone know how to crack the password for a 3Com 3C17300 SuperStack 3?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you change the Manager password?

try to login with Manager and no password.

Apparently that has been changed as well. Didn't work, any other ideas?

They have a lot of default logins and passwords.

2 things to try. Use "admin" as the user with no password. If this does not work, use "3comcso" as user and RIP000 as password (case sensitive) This should reset user to default which is admin with no password.
