Default Messaging Programs - Make Default, Grayed Out

Hi,

I have a desktop and laptop with outlook express 6. The Desktop is mainly used.

I was trying something and in Options > General and then Default Messaging Programs: This application is the default Mail hander is now grayed out. It wasn't default, and I clicked the button. Will this affect the desktop ?
