could somebody please give me the steps to default a processor. From the post I saw. it didn't seem to follow the.same script. I'm using spm 9.0

Thanks in advance

If using WinSPM - from standard SPM (choice is on the left side) - once you get the MLX-20L emulation screen - press Maintenance, Slot, 00 enter, Demand Test, F4 twice - and say Yes to continue (Full Erase restart). This will bring the system back to factory specs - and wipe out all programming. You may want to do it twice - to make sure everything is gone.

hello again.

Before I default the system is there a way to view all the system info...I can't print it out.there is no printer for my laptop.

My real problem is trying to set up a delayed calling group for a mlm.

according to my earlier request you remove the lines from group 770.

I checked they were not in 770. So i'm trying to find out where they are assigned..so i can assigtn them to the delay group. If i can't i guess i'll just have to default the processor.
Is this the correct procedure
sys-exit-extensions-more-grp calling-line/pool-ext og group-7770-inspect

there are no lines.

When you "print" in WinSPM, you are actually capturing a text file, which you can view on the screen, or find in the site data directory. (and you can actually print it to a printer if you want0

Be that as it may, defaulting a processor is probably NOT the way to solve a delayed answer problem, it's using a sledge hammer to swat a fly.

I agree with TTT, the sledge hammer approach is NOT THE WAY TO GO HERE.

Do a "PRINT ALL" and then figure out what you need to do next.

That would be the best way.

You don't have to do a "Print ALL" - just go to the section under Print options - scroll to Group Calling - and print that report (it will print to a text file that you can view with the built-in windows text viewer) - and see what calling group your lines are assigned to - so you can remove them from that group and reassign them to your vm overflow group.

hello gang

went to print options
make a selection

smdr port
pc port

both were red

i'm connecting remotely
with laptop modem

my printer connects to my pc thru a usb connection

any ideas?

Allow me to clarify the steps.....

From STANDARD SPM:

System Programing > Exit/Start > More > Print, and then select what you want to print out.

You can hit "MORE" 'till you find the Calling Groups as Tom suggested or you can just choose "ALL" to get everything at once.

Of course, "ALL" takes a lot of time, but it gives a lot of info as well.

To clarify the clarification: there is NO need to select an output port or define any kind of printer. As merlinman said, simply choose the print option for any number of reports and a local text file will be generated BY DEFAULT.

Thanks again.

It seems groups 771, 772 had the trunks.
Now i will attempt to set up a call delay group.

Thanks for being the most helpfull forum I have ever dealt with. Many forums berate people for their lack of knowledge. This has not been the case here. My background was in programming the Panasonic KXT series, which is quite different in terminology and approach.

ok..hopefully this will be the last post from me on this topic.

The delay works..I set up a mail box for the overflow to group extension "791"

How do I get the calls to hear the main auto attendant greeting? Not 791 mailbox greeting

I like up the FAQ. it seem to apply the the stand alone merlin mail box..not the 8 port card.

When you dial the aa it overflows to the mailbox 791
how do i make 791 an auto attendant?

thanks in advance

You need to go into voicemail admin - and setup 791 as an autoattendant mailbox - not a regular mailbox. So - if 791 is setup as a regular mailbox - delete it - and then set it up again. If using Merlin Messaging - choose choice 3 (instead of choice 1 to "create a mailbox"), then enter the autoattendant number (which should be 1), and then press 6 to indicate it has no phone.
