Default Max Records

I am running an Access 2000 ADP pointing to a MS SQL 2000 database. One of my forms is pulling a recordset that is in the 15000+ records range. Under options for my ADP I have set the "default max records" to both 20000 and unlimited, but for some reason, none of these settings remains "sticky". I set it, then later on, the setting reverts back to the 10000 max records default.

I need to pull all those records. Anyone know how to fix this?

Try changing the default max records.

Go to tools / options / advanced tab

On the right side is a box titled Client-server settings with the text below Default max records.

That most likely shows 10,000 - change it to whatever you require.

Actually, I've tried doing that. Unfortunately, that setting does not stay set.

For example, I would set it at 20000 max records. Later on in the same day I would look at the setting again, and it had reverted to 10000.

Anyone else have this problem?

Hmmm,

Worked for me - Access 2000.

Did you click "Apply" after making the change?

You can try to limit the number of records by use
Ado Recordset.

Yup. Clicked on it. Clicked on it several times after my initial frustration. Still no "stickiness". It goes back to the default after some time has elapsed even if I make the change while in the DB exclusively.
