Whenever I try to send an e-mail from a mailto: link on a website, the message comes up "this operation cannot be performed because default mail client not properly installed." I assume that MS products would be more properly integrated.

They seem to have a knowledge base article for this problem in Outlook Express, but not Outlook 2000.

First go to internet options in IE6, programs tab, verify that Outlook is set there for e-mail. -Brad

First open Windows Explorer and then to TOOLS - FOLDER OPTIONS. Select File Types and look up the file association for URL:MailTo Protocol. Click on the OPEN action and then click on EDIT.

The command it should be running is:

"C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~2\Office\OUTLOOK.EXE" -c IPM.Note /m "%1"

You need to enter the entire command as written above or it won't work correctly. joegz
