1. Logon as administrator or equivalent
2. Fire up the registry editor.
3. Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
4. Take a backup of the entire key and values.
5. Set DefaultUsername and AltDefaultUsername to the username of the account.
6. (if applicable) set DefaultDomainName and AltDefaultDomainName to the domain (either the machine name or the Windows domain).
7. Exit the registry editor and try it out.
... but when I try this it only work one time. If I logon again the next time the last logged on user will be displayed again
Is it possible to make the change in the registry to stay forever?
