Can anyone help me,

I recently got a JS Trojan seeker on my PC. It is now deleted, but everytime I load IE5.5 it defaults to a website which I dont want on. Ive changed the default homepage in tools/internet options. This is fine but when you restart the pc it goes back to the other website I dont want. Ive tried modifying the start page reg file but to no avail. There must be something else changing it to this annoying website everytime I restart my PC.

Does anyone have any ideas how to deal with this prob?

Aynz,

Then you obviously haven't COMPLETELY removed it. I'd suggest you go to the web site of your anti-virus maker and look for manual removal instructions.

Here's one thing that may work, and get rid of the (bad) homepage if it's located under one of these keys.

Correct your home page to the one you prefer, then immediately do the following:

Backup the registry and/or export the following keys:
go to Start>Run, type regedit. Navigate to:
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet ExplorerRight-click on the Internet Explorer key, choose new>Key, name it Control Panel. Right-click on the Control Panel, chose new>DWORD value, name it Homepage. Right-click on Homepage, choose modify and type in the number 1.

This should lock your home page, so no other web site can change it.

Then navigate here and verify the homepage is correct:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main
look for the Start Page entry.
