Default gateway switching

We have clients running Windows XP with two default gateways configured. According to an article on Technet (

if the line used by the first gateway goes down, dead gateway detection should spot it and change the RCE for that address so that the second will be used. This doesn't seem to be happening. Have I interpreted the situation correctly - should it switch? If so, any ideas why it isn't?

Try enabling dead gateway as the default. I recommend you use DRTCP from DSLR to enable this feature of the TCP/IP stack.
