Is there a way to set the default formats for new images that you insert into a Word document? For example, when I put a new image in the layout format is always "In Line With Text", and I invariably want to change it to "Behind Text". It would be nice if I didn't have to do this every time.

Hi bhujanga,

Word 2007 gives you these options (Word Options|Advanced > Cut Copy & Paste > Insert/paste pictures as: Behind Text), but you'd need a macro to do it with previous versions.

Word Versions 2003 and lower, you can set Picture default under Tools, Options, Edit Tab, "Insert/Paste Picture As:"
