Default folder when opening files

Hi
In acrobat reader how can I ,when I want to open a file , go straight to a preferred folder.Rather than having to searching . Everything that I read is in the same file.

There is no such setting in Acrobat. That would be a system (win or os) issue.

I'm using version 4.0 and when I click on File -> Open, it opens in the last directory I was in. Seems like that would work for you.
