default email client error

I am receiving an error when attempting to start backup exec job engine. It complains that either I have no default mail client or that the client I have specified does not meet requirements. It advises that I start-up MS Outlook and set it as default. I have started MS Outlook, and have made it default, but it did not do anything about backup exec's problem(s). The error stops backup exec job engine from starting.

Any suggestions???
