I am running Sharepoint Portal 2007 on Win2003 box and SQL 2005 for the db.

I am trying to figure out how to change the default location of the db that is created when a new site is added to Sharepoint. For example: Create a site called Test Site, the db files are created on the C drive on my SQL 2005 server. I would like them to be automatically created under my F drive.

I did change the default location within SQL2005 to go to the F drive, but that seems to have no effect when the db is created in Sharepoint. So I guess it may be a Sharepoint setting.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Well I gotta tell you, if that's my answer that is pretty dumb on the part of Microsoft to design it that way.
